Meditation for a Modern Lifestyle

How much time in a given day do you feel overwhelmed, stressed, anxious or conflicted?  Contrast that with the amount of time you feel calm.  I mean, the time you take to be still—to be with yourself.

Practicing meditation can bring calm into our lives in a multitude of ways.  Meditation can be as simple as just conscious breathing.  It can be as short as one minute or as long you want it to be.  There is no right or wrong way to meditate.

The concept of meditation might be intimidating if you imagine it as sitting in an impossible or uncomfortable position, chanting “ohm.”  Fortunately, it does not need to look like this!

Practicing meditation might be daunting if you believe it requires
that your mind be completely devoid of all thoughts.
As it turns out, this is impossible.

Practicing meditation is proven to relieve:

  • Stress—related to work, family and finances.
  • High blood pressure.
  • Sleep disturbances.
  • Anxiety and depression.
  • Fatigue and headaches.
  • Chronic pain and illness.
  • Gastrointestinal distress.

And the list goes on.

My instruction focuses on meditation for a modern lifestyle.  Because you are unique, and because there is no single right way to meditate, my classes offer exposure to a variety of techniques.  You get to choose which modality fits your life.

Classes are taught in a simple format in which anyone can participate, regardless of level of experience or commitment.
