Two-Tip Tuesday: Wealth & Abundance

Child holding plantThe word abundance can mean many different things to a variety of people. To some, it can mean overflowing finances and wealth, but to others, it could be abundance in love or creativity. In feng shui, the wealth, prosperity and abundance area is in the back left corner of your home, as viewed from standing from your front door facing in. It can also be in the same corner of your office or even bedroom.

Decorating with different objects, colors and elements in these areas of your home and/or office can enhance the abundance in your life and business. Here are few tips to get you started.

If you want to learn more on how to invite more abundance into your life, join me this Thursday, May 21st from 7-9pm, on the phone or in-person for a Feng Shui for Abundance & Manifestation Class. Sign up and receive $50 off an entire home or business feng shui consultation!

Fountains Tabletop Fountain

A table top fountain is an excellent feng shui cure, or remedy to help bring in more abundance. In feng shui terms, flowing water represents abundance and wealth.

Not only are fountains a lovely home addition, but their gentle bubbling sound can bring a sense of relaxation and calm to any space.

Make sure to always keep the fountain running. It is is worse to have a dry fountain than no fountain at all. This can represent dried-up finances.

To help with this, try to find one with a power cord, as battery operated fountains tend to lose their juice quickly, and are not meant to run continuously.

Try Amazon or Lamps Plus. Both have a great selection and are well priced. Be forewarned however, you do get what you pay for. Sometimes it’s worth investing a little more to avoid a leaky, splashy, loud-motored fountain. Definitely read the reviews.

Plantsmoneyplant

Plants will always uplift the qi (pronounced chee) or energy in any room of your home or office. Adding extra energy to the finance area can be another excellent way to bring in more abundance.

There are many plants you can use such as bamboo or a traditional money plant, as pictured. Just be sure to use a plant with softer, rounded edges. Cactus or other prickly plants will actually work against you in this situation.

Be sure to always keep your plants healthy and vibrant. A decrepit looking plant will attract negative energy, and at that point it’s best to cut your loses and replace it with a fresher, healthier plant.

If you have a brown thumb, silk plants are ok, but real is better. Bamboo is probably the easiest to maintain, but it can be killed (yep, personal experience).

You can actually find money plants online, but I’ve never ordered one. So, I can’t vouch for the quality. Usually you can find these at grocery stores or little kiosks at the mall.
